Assassin's Creed - Bloodlines, released in 2009, is a stealth and action-adventure video game coming under the Assassin's Creed video game series. The game is a part of the Assassin's Creed franchise, and it takes place between the events in Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed II. Ubisoft Montreal developed the game, and Ubisoft published it for the PlayStation Portable (PSP).
The game starts quickly after the end of the first game, where Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad discovers a plan of the residual Templars to flee to Cyprus and penetrates one of their refuges in Acre to hinder them from doing. Although he fails in this respect, he conquers and captures Maria Thorpe, who ventured to avenge her previous master, Robert de Sablé, who perished at Altaïr's hands.
