Star Wars Trilogy a 3D rail shooter arcade game launched in 1998. The concept is purely based on the movie Star Wars along with some special editions of these movies. Designed and published by Sega for Mame gaming platform, this game is the second instalment in the Sega's Start War Arcade series. Other games included in this series are Star Wars Arcade (1993) and Star Wars Racer Arcade (2000).
The game has two main plots and three missions that are similar to the scenes from the Star Wars Trilogy, and also has an unlockable mission as an addition. You can also enjoy playing two battles against Boba Fett and Darth Vader. The game involves the user in many critical battles of the Star Wars films with one mission for each original Star Wars film. The player decides which film's mission to play first where each mission has three parts.
The first part of the mission puts the player in a space battle at Yavin where an X-wing pilot LukeSkywalker fights against TIE Fighters. The second part of the mission is based on flying along with the Death Star's surface, battling against TIE Fighters and XX-9 heavy turbolaser turret guns, and challenging TIE Fighters. The third part of the mission puts the player within the battle's station trench, where proton torpedoes are used to destroy the Death Star.
