It is a run and gun video game released for the arcades in 2006. the player teams up with the Martians and Rebels to fight a more significant threat. Metal Slug 6 marks the return to the Rebel-Martian. The game takes place after the events of the Metal Slug 3. Newcomers Ralf Jones and Clark Still have joined the original team of Tarma Roving, Marco Rossi, FioGermi and Eri Kasamoto. It's the first time in the series that each character has his or her unique qualities. The amount of ammunition, melee speed and defensive ability of vehicles differ from person to person, and each possesses a unique ability. There are two endings which depend on the route taken in Mission 4.
The game follows one month after the events of Metal Slug 3. General Morden is back once again. Peregrine Falcon unit reunites with SPARROWS to investigate Morden's latest plan. Together, they go to the Morden's Rebel Army outpost. They destroy his latest war machine, confronts Morden and discover that he has an alliance with the Martians. However, Martians themselves are eaten and invaded by a new dangerous race of aliens named Invaders, and they ask for Morden's help. The soldiers now have to fight the invaders as they invade the earth cities.
