Cress gets captured by hostile forces, but he escapes and reunites with his friend Chester and a local scholar. They together go on a quest to defeat the evil leader. He successfully brings back the demon king Dhaos who wants to destroy everything. Cress and Mint go back in time, and the mission is to defeat Dhaos in the past. There are many vast dungeons, towns, castles, towers, caves, and other hostile locations. The player controls one character Cress, and the other three are computer-controlled. The game has numerous classical qualities, and every gamer will love to play it.
The game follows a linear motion battle system that takes place in a 2D terrain. The player controls only one character out of the four. As in the RPG, this game also has HP and TP. The Player gives command either with the use of button press or selecting the options. There is a pause menu that allows the player to stop the play during the battle and select an item or spell. Apart from the main character, the other character can set different modes such as passive, active, and attack mode. The Player can force the characters to use a spell or move. In the multiplayer mode, the other players take the role of these different characters.
