It's a role-playing video game released in 1994 and published by Capcom. It's the second title in the Breath of fire game franchise and builds a much powerful world than its last part. It's been 500 years since the previous Breath of Fire story takes place, and the player will assume the role of Ryu, whose father and sister suddenly disappear. Nobody remembers who he is, and some cult comes and forces him to leave the town with a dog boy named Bow. It's been ten years, and Bow has been accused of a crime he didn't commit, so it's up to Ryu to go on an adventure and solve mysteries and also discovers his dragon powers along the way to beat the enemies.
The game is similar to a regular RPG. The player slowly walks in an overhead setting, learns new techniques, gets into random battles, gets gold and experience to become stronger, gets better upgrades, and talk to people and complete the tasks to progress into the story. The player will come across new partners with different motives during the adventurous journey, from strong armadillo Rand to black-winged Nina, cat-like fighter Katt. To get the EXP points and the gold, the player must slay the enemies, and Ryu will ultimately discover new dragon abilities. Off to the side quest, there is some fishing and hunting to get the food. One of the essential changes from its predecessor is that now the player can sort the items more manageably to have more room for new stuff. The battles have precise translation and a better sense of flow. On the positive side, what to do next is easy to figure out. Another charming touch is that characters will now react depending on how the players answer their questions.
The way to play the Super Nintendo game Breath of Fire II is with a SNES emulator. These emulators are available for multiple platforms; let's look at a few of them.
