Sonic Rush, released in the year 2005, is a platform video game and a part of the series of Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog. The Dimps and the Sonic Team developed the game for the Nintendo DS. The game is almost similar to the previous Sonic Advance and is a 2D platform game; however, the levels are side-scrolling.  

Game Plot

The game follows around the adventures of a new character called Blaze the Cat and Sonic the Hedgehog, who is the main antagonist in the series. The player can control either one of them according to their unique abilities as they differ from each other. They individually battle Doctor Eggman and his doppelganger Eggman Nega at several periods. The player here collects rings as a form of energy; when an enemy tackles them, and these rings bounce in every direction. If the players get hit by an enemy and do not have any rings, they will lose one of their lives. They even lose their life if the character falls into a bottomless pit, gets crushed or exceeds an act 10-minute limit, and drowns.
