Lunar Knights, also known in Japan as Bokura no Taiyō: Django & Sabata, released in the year 2006, is an action role-playing video game under the fourth title in the Boktai video games series. Kojima Productions developed the game, and Konami published it for the Nintendo DS.
The game starts with two men discussing the nearby vampire's ability to control the flame. At that time, Lucian, the Lunar Knight, overhears them and tries to get the whereabouts of Duke, who is the Dark Tribe vampire leader.
The game focuses on two characters, Aaron and Lucian. Aaron is an amateur sharpshooter, and he uses a mixture of Solar Guns to deal with destruction to his undead enemies. Unlike Lucian's character, Aaron has few powers and can momentarily become an avatar of the sun if needed by joining with his Terrennial, Toasty. At the same time, Lucian is a vampire hunter who wields several dark melee weapons. He is also taught with the power of darkness and can transform into a vampire after building up a Trance meter by combining with his Terrennial, Nero, which enables him to absorb life out of his foes. Additionally, the player can increase the two characters' levels by destroying enemies, and their weapons may be enhanced with many parts, providing more abilities to use with that weapon.
