Galaga, released in the year 1981, is a type of fixed shooter arcade game which is developed by Namco for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was released by Midway Games and is a sequel to the Galaxian.
Game Plot
The player here takes control of a starship and is on a mission to destroy the Galaga forces in each stage while bypassing enemies and projectiles. Some of the enemies can even capture the player's ship using a tractor beam, which can be saved to change the player into a Dual Fighter with extra firepower. The goal of each stage is to destroy all of the Galaga aliens, which would fly.
Like in Galaxian, aliens will jump towards the player. He has to hunt down projectiles and crashing them on the alien. Additionally, he has to destroy four large enemy aliens called the Boss Galag.

The game revolves around the players controlling a starship called the Dragoon and is in its mission to destroy the Cannon Seed, which is a superweapon set to destroy what is left of the human race. The aim is to reach towards the end of the game without getting hit. All of the players share one health bar, which is labeled as ENERGY. It is placed at the bottom of the screen.
