SegaSonic The Hedgehog, released in Japan in the year 1993, is an arcade platformer video game. Sega AM3 developed the game, and Sega published it for the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator (MAME). The games follow the three characters, Sonic the Hedgehog, Ray the Flying Squirrel, and Mighty the Armadillo, and the player takes control of them who need to escape from an island as soon as possible after they get kidnapped by the villain, Doctor Eggman.
The player needs to avoid several hazards and threats to reach Doctor Eggman, who is in his base called the Eggman Tower. There are seven levels in the game where the player must complete each one as fast as possible within a short time. Here, the players can use a trackball, which can be used to control the direction and speed, and also make the player jump to a Spin Attack. The players have a health bar, which is drained when the player falls into small traps and even lose one of their lives if the bar becomes empty. However, they can recover their health by collecting rings that are hidden inside some barriers and scattered around the area.
To play SegaSonic the Hedgehog, you need to download and run a Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator (MAME) emulator on your device. MAME emulators run on almost all platforms such as MAC OS, Linux, Microsoft Windows, BSD, and Amiga. Some of the best MAME that you can run on your device are MAME Plus, WPC MAME, ADVANCE MAME, RetroArch, MAMEFANS32, MULTIJET, SmoothMAME, and DEfMAME.
