It is an arcade game released in 1985 by Atari games. The player plays the role of a paperboy who delivers a newspaper known as The Daily Sun on his bicycle every morning. He rides on rough-and-tumble streets to throw newspapers into the mailboxes of the subscribers. The player even wants to throw the newspapers at the garbage cans or through the windows of the non-subscribers.
The work of the Paperboy is not easy. He has to get up early and throw the paper at the right place to earn money, but our Paperboy earns honours in the game. The game begins on Monday; Paperboy has to deliver the newspaper to each subscriber of the newspaper. Along the way, he has to stay away from hurdles such as speeding cars, kids on skateboards, people break dancing, tornadoes, and many more. If the Paperboy comes in contact with the obstacles, he falls on the ground and loses his life. There is a training course at the end of the sidewalk, where the player train to avoid stationary and moving obstacles.
In the beginning, there are three choices: Easy, Medium, and Hard. The game begins with a little stack of papers, and the aim is to deliver them to the subscriber houses. Players can provide more than one paper per house, but they have to be cautious not to cause damage like breaking a window. Paperboy meets non-subscribers, but he teaches them a lesson and cycles through their flower garden or throws a paper through their window. The street is often busy with workers, drains, killer cats, fighting thugs, and burglars; players can throw a piece at them or avoid them. There is little training sector filled with targets, water jumps, etc., at the end of the route.
