This game is a first-person shooter game released in 2005 for GameCube, Xbox and PlayStation 2 by Electronic Arts. It's the third instalment in the TimeSplitters game series. Players take the role of 25th century Sergeant Cortez who is a time-travelling marine. He tries to go to the past to save the future. Once again, the story revolves around time. You play as Cortez; the game starts with you returning from an adventure where you have to safeguard some crystals that power the time machine. Again you are on to your quest to the past to prevent the current humankind conflict against some creatures. As you go around the past, you come across various scenarios such as the 1990s, 2200s and 1994. The exciting part is that each period lets you do something different from each other. For example, in 1969, you team up with Harry Tipper, a super spy as he tries to stop a villain from launching a nuke. In 1994, you formed a team with a girl to penetrate a zombie-filled mansion.
In the beginning, the game takes place in 2401—Sergeant Cortez along with his squad battles unknown masked creatures and TimeSplitters. Cortez has to go back to the past to stop the events that caused the TimeSplitters. Cortez, along with his assistant, travels to the year 1924. There he meets Captain Ash, and they both confront an unknown man with a high amount of Time Crystals. Cortez then travels to 1969 with secret agent Harry tipper to save his girlfriend Kitten, Celeste. His journey takes him to 1994 where he meets Jo Beth Casey, who tells him about the mansion inhabited by the zombies. Cortez discovers that Dr Jacob Crow, a mad scientist is a creator behind the TimeSplitters. He plans to destroy his lab throughout all the periods in which crow exists.
Cortez then travels 200 years into the future where machines are the rulers of the planet. Cortez allies with one of the devices to enter crow's lab. But, he is still not strong enough to defeat crow. Cortez along with the machines go back to 1924 and defeats Crow.
